The leading mobile search engine company, Google, still hopes to gain profits from the YouTube video website, and it is currently testing the mobile advertisement function of this service, according to a recent statement in the company's mobile blog.
"You may have noticed that we've started running ads on select pages of the YouTube mobile site in the US and Japan regions," explained Christine Tsai, product marketing manager for YouTube. "This is our first step in testing mobile ads on YouTube."
The current test will provide new ways for YouTube audiences to interact while viewing video content, and also allows us to understand how video audiences engage with mobile advertisements," said Tsai. "We are testing these ads as another brand tool that also has the potential to reach the millions of users who watch YouTube on their phones every day."
