LED smart bulb controlled by Android devices

Google collaborated with Lighting Science Group to develop this LED smart bulb equivalent to a 60W incandescent bulb.
This LED smart bulb can be controlled by mobile devices (phones, tablets, laptops) equipped with the Google Android system through a new open-source wireless network protocol. Users can easily adjust the brightness of the bulb wirelessly via their Android device for convenience, comfort, and energy savings.
The bulb is expected to hit the market by the end of this year, and it is anticipated that Lighting Science Group will price it comparably to regular LED bulbs.
