Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio has been pictured trying out one of the devices during a recent holiday in Ibiza. The Jetlev uses jet stream technology to suck up water through a hose connected to an unmanned boat, before blasting it out again from a backpack to propel the user 30ft into the air. Another device called the Flyboard, which looks like a small ski with a hose attached, sends people soaring 45ft into the air. Marketing videos on YouTube showing people shooting into the sky above the sea before plunging back into the water like dolphins have attracted millions of hits.
