Killing it! Microsoft's Surface tablet may sell for $199

In order to "outdo" Amazon's Kindle Fire tablet, Google launched the Nexus 7 tablet at the same price of $199, almost selling at a loss to gain market share. However, what they didn't realize was that while they were focusing on competing with Amazon, Microsoft had already prepared its Windows RT tablet, Surface, which will also be priced at $199.

Previously, there were rumors that the Surface tablet would be outrageously expensive. In fact, according to foreign media citing insider information, Microsoft's first Windows RT tablet isn't as costly. The actual selling price of this tablet is $199, consistent with the price of Google's Nexus 7.

Currently, a Microsoft spokesperson has neither confirmed nor denied this news, thus leaving more room for speculation among users.
