A few days ago, Mozilla officially confirmed the launch of a "Firefox-branded" smartphone operating system, which will be the self-developed Firefox OS. Recently, Mozilla developer Rob Hawkes couldn't wait to showcase the lock screen interface of a Galaxy S II running Firefox OS.
The predecessor of the Firefox mobile operating system is Mozilla's Boot to Gecko project, where all functions such as phone calls, text messages, games, etc., are HTML5 applications. Therefore, even mid-to-low-end phones can run Firefox OS very smoothly, and it will also be much easier for developers to design new applications for it.
From the leaked Galaxy S II lock screen image, the lock screen of Firefox OS seems somewhat similar to Android's. One wonders how the other interfaces will look?
