Big move: Microsoft will issue WP7 devices to all employees. Back in July, there was a rumor that all Microsoft employees would receive a free Windows Phone 7 from the company.

At yesterday's Microsoft Professional Developers Conference, Steve Ballmer announced that every attendee could take home a free Windows Phone 7 device, with about 1000 units being distributed in total.

However, the timing of when Microsoft employees will receive their devices remains unconfirmed. Microsoft’s Windows Phone director, Guy Gilbert, firmly stated that this rumor is indeed true—every Microsoft employee will enjoy this benefit in the near future.

As for whether or not we should develop programs for WP7, that remains uncertain. After promoting WP7 for so long, we humbly ask: could we get one to play with... just to try it out…? Rating
