The children screamed: "I'm so hungry that I could eat a whole horse!" The parents might all cook a bowl of noodles (uh, you probably wouldn't really kill a horse), because it's quick and simple, but how much to cook is a technical issue - too much is wasteful, too little and everyone will still be hungry. Don't panic, the clever Icelandic designer Stefan Pétur Sólveigarson has got your back. "I Could Eat a Horse" is a pasta measuring tool brought by the designer. There are four cut-out patterns on the simple stainless steel, each corresponding to four different portions of pasta: the smallest figure represents the child's portion, the middle two are for adults, and the horse on the side is for when you're hungry enough to eat a whole horse.
Of course, parents don't have to follow the portions above rigidly. Perhaps when cooking noodles, they can humanely ask everyone how much they want to eat: "How much do you all want to eat?" Then comes a chorus of replies: "I want to eat a man!" "I want to eat a woman!" "I want to eat a child!" A neighbor happens to pass by: "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
