The Ripple Effect Tea Table, which comes from South Korean industrial designers Jeonghwa Seo and Hanna Chung, is part of their master's graduation design last year. Judging from the video, the ripple effect should be due to a pool of clear water built into the tea table.
According to the designers, oriental people generally believe that a small change in an individual or something will affect the whole society... This socio-cultural trend is described as the "ripple effect". The designers have transformed this effect into the design of the tea table: although the two teacups are far apart, even the slightest movement on one side will turn into ripples that touch the other side - even if you didn't mean to.
And from a human perspective, when the water ripples spread across the tabletop, it should also resonate deeply with the heartstrings, offering a serene and clear-minded意境 (realm/ambience).
