Snijlab is a Dutch digital manufacturing company that recently discovered a way to make wood more flexible: by using lasers to make precise cuts on wooden boards, allowing them to bend and fold in two directions without breaking. Combining hardness with flexibility is probably something even the wood itself didn't expect.
Building on this innovation, Snijlab designed and made this wooden booklet using birch wood. Inside, it features a wooden clip that can secure a small A7-sized notebook or paper. It can be used as a portable folder or notebook cover. It offers a solid texture when in use, and perhaps even a hint of natural清香 (fragrance).
