The International Web Design Awards began in 1998 as the first truly organized international organization of web designers and graphic artists to evaluate and recognize the work they have done over the past year. Recognized by Wired Magazine as one of the top 5 Internet awards in the world, the award is of exceptional value because of its rigorous accreditation and quality assurance. In the beginning of the year he founded more than 450 documents in 30 categories, including advertising agencies, businesses, design studios, and webmasters. In the 2000 competition, more than 700 entries were received from 22 different countries. In 2000, 39 winning Web pages came from outside the United States, up from 21 in 1999. The big winners were Elephant Seven, from Hamburg, with six awards; Siegelgale won five.
