Today, it would be foolish to call a cell phone a "telephone." Today's mobile phone has become a portable computer, so successful at combining many functions into one that once-popular products such as the PDA have become obsolete.

Here are five products that have been eliminated by mobile phones:

1. PDA

Today, there is no market demand for pure PDA products that do not have phone functions.

2. Camera

Of course, there is still a long way to go before professional cameras are obsolete. But because of the superiority of carrying around, mobile phones have replaced low-end cameras.

3. Ultra-portable Computer (UMPC)

UMPC itself was a failed experiment, and as mobile phones become more powerful and prices fall, mobile phones can replace UMpcs. If you really want a larger screen, you can buy two or three netbooks for the same price as a UMPC.

4. Traditional landlines

With the popularity of mobile phones, there are fewer and fewer landlines at home. Even if landlines are retained, much of it is part of the promotional services offered by telecom providers.

5. MP3 player

Nowadays, almost every mobile phone has a built-in MP3 player. It can be predicted that in the next few years, the iPod will be eliminated by the iPhone.

Next target: laptop

Despite the fashion, the results are not hard to imagine.
