Safari Browser 3.1.2 for Windows Released

Apple today released a new version of the Safari browser 3.1.2 for the Windows operating system, with updates including stability improvements and some security updates.

Safari 3.1.2 addresses the following four security vulnerabilities:

1. Viewing disguised BMP and GIF images may lead to information leakage.

2. Saving untrusted files to the Windows desktop may lead to malicious code execution.

3. Visiting websites within the IE trusted zone may lead to automatic execution of malicious code.

4. (WebKit vulnerability) Visiting disguised malicious websites may lead to application termination or malicious code execution.
