Friends who follow the Meizu M9 news may know that yesterday, J.Wong, the CEO of Meizu, responded to netizens on the official Meizu forum saying that the M9 experience device would be delayed until December due to changes in the logo and screen printing. In fact, the logo change mentioned by J.Wong refers to Meizu's upcoming new Chinese logo. The spy photo above is Meizu's new Chinese logo (the English logo remains unchanged), and currently, the new Chinese logo has been used as J.Wong's avatar on the forum. According to J.Wong's statement on the Meizu forum, this design was created when he was feeling low some time ago, and the strokes are also self-created.

According to a source with cooperative relations with Meizu who introduced this to Rologo, the new Chinese logo is very likely to be printed on the M9 and may be applied to specialty stores and other places in the future. Additionally, J.Wong's creative concept for the new logo is to deliberately create a contrast effect between technology (phones) and tradition (stroke style similar to seal script). I speculate that another reason for launching this logo is to make the hardware (appearance) of the M9 look different from the iPhone. Recently, Meizu was required to halt production after Apple protested to the intellectual property authority due to the similarity in appearance between the M8 and the iPhone. J.Wong's new forum avatar includes the current Chinese and English logos of Meizu.

Attached are several points J.Wong explained about the new Chinese logo on the Meizu forum:

1. "Mei" refers to an enchantingly beautiful young woman (sister) in ancient times, who was considered the incarnation of a demon. The origin of "Zu" mainly comes from the need to guard against external invasion, composed of horses and people. Meizu contains excellence and demonization, beauty and criticism, antiquity and modernity, relentless pursuit... The seal is both a shackle and a brand!

2. I drew this sketch during one of my lowest moments.

3. The stroke part is self-created by me. It doesn't matter whether it is a standard font or stroke, but rather the meaning it conveys; this is not just pure text.
