We all know about test-tube babies, which seem to be becoming more and more common in the future, but have you ever heard of a test-tube pencil? A young man from Switzerland, Kevin Angeloni, placed pencils in transparent glass test tubes, with the model engraved on the wooden stopper above, and finally neatly arranged on the test tube rack, quite exquisite. It suddenly reminded me that during previous exams, we needed to use 2B pencils to fill out the answer cards, and indeed the imperial examination system was really "2B".
(Note: The phrase "很2B" is a play on words in Chinese, where "2B" refers to both the type of pencil lead and can also mean "stupid" or "silly." Here it humorously connects the historical "keju" or imperial examination system with modern testing practices.)
