Beijing, April 10th - According to foreign media reports, the world's largest social networking site, Myspace, has recently announced that it has formed a joint venture with Sony BMG, Universal Music, and Warner Music. This company will sell and promote digital music through various means on the Myspace website.

Myspace is owned by Fox Interactive Media. It is reported that this joint venture is called "Myspace Music," but the investment ratios of the various record giants are currently unclear.

It is reported that the Myspace Music company will promote the music works of the record companies in three areas: the homepage of the Myspace Music channel, about five million artist pages on the Myspace website, as well as pages of ordinary music enthusiasts.

The Myspace Music company will provide music file downloads without copyright restriction measures, as well as advertising-supported audio and video streaming services. Additionally, it will cooperate with Jamba to launch a mobile version of the music website. (Linghu Da)
