"Let the Wind Comfort Their Injured Souls" is a piece I discovered today in a music bar. After listening to a sample, I fell in love with this guitar composition and decided to share it with everyone.
The composer is Shu Xin, who first came into contact with an acoustic guitar at the age of 14 and is self-taught. After experiencing many events, he began pursuing the path of pure guitar solo performances and currently works as a guitar instructor. This is his representative work, "Let the Wind Comfort Their Injured Souls," characterized by its lively rhythm and unique style.
At the beginning of the piece, there's a slightly sorrowful atmosphere, like someone pouring out their lost feelings in solitude. As it progresses to the middle section, a sense of rhythm gradually emerges, akin to a person freeing themselves from disappointment, shedding the burdens of thought, and heading towards simplicity and joy...
The wind has always been used by people to symbolize freedom and unrestrictedness. I believe this is exactly the intention of the composer — using the wind as a medium to comfort injured souls and move forward lightly. Perhaps this also subtly reflects his own situation. Shu Xin participated in a band in his early years and went through the inevitable phase that every musician experiences — lacking recognition within the industry. In such circumstances, he chose the path of pure guitar solos, releasing his emotions through guitar music, truly immersing himself in it, finding his own world, and playing his unique notes.
