Robert Capa, born in Budapest in 1913 with the original name Andre, was a Hungarian national and Capa was his pen name. At the age of 17, he aspired to become a photographer and later became one of the most famous war correspondents of the 20th century. After studying at the University of Berlin, he first worked in the darkroom of a press agency in Berlin, then became a journalist in Paris. Due to the recognition of his photographic works by a photography magazine, he was assigned to cover combat zones. He was also one of the founders of Magnum Photos.
