The 2013 Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to Martin Karplus.

Karplus is not only a chemist but also a photography enthusiast. He began taking photographs in the 1950s, traveled to many places including Europe, Asia, and South America, and held several photography exhibitions.

In his earlier years, the camera he used was a Leica IIIC, and the film he often used was Kodak Chrome. Later, he got a digital camera — the Canon EOS 20D.
