Recently, the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan released a high-definition photo of the "Andromeda" galaxy taken with the "Subaru Telescope". The photo presents astonishing details to people without any post-processing.
According to the introduction, the photographed "Andromeda" galaxy is 2.5 million light-years away from Earth. The "Subaru Telescope" used for the photography has the largest primary mirror in the world, with a diameter of 8.2 meters. The entire observatory is located on Mauna Kea in Hawaii, USA. It started construction in April 1991 and officially began scientific observations in January 1999.
