Nikon officially unveiled its new entry-level digital SLR camera, the D3100, on August 19. The D3100 uses a Nikon DX-format CMOS image sensor and a new image processor, EXPEED 2, to take high-quality, clear photos. The D3100 follows the boot mode of the D3000 camera and adds more options and auxiliary image features to make it easier for users to understand how the camera operates. The D3100 camera also comes with an instant view feature that allows users to view images on the display, and a digital animation feature that supports the shooting of short films in full HD. Weighing around 455g (body only), the D3100 is the lightest of Nikon's digital single-mirror reflex series. The D3100 camera gives users the operating experience of a pure digital SLR camera. On the other hand, even beginners of digital single-mirror reflex cameras can take beautiful photos with this product to truly express their creative intentions.
