Mexican brewery Minerva has launched two gay beers, Salamandra and Purple Hand, aiming at the LGBT market. Salamandra is a kind of lizard, which is a symbol of the gay community. And Purple Hand / purple hand pays tribute to the 1969 San Francisco gay rights protest.
A representative of Minerva said: "The launch of Salamandra and Purple Hand has also received some criticism from society, saying that we forgot the largest group of heterosexuals. Yes, that's right. These two beers are specially made for gay friends. After the beer was launched, it caused a strong reaction within the gay community."
