"Three down five remove two, four down five remove one," how many of these abacus rhymes do you still remember? The rapid development of the digital age also reflects the decline of abacus culture. Recently, the "Danfeng Pavilion," a library collection made up of 668 abacuses of varying sizes and shapes, was exhibited at the Jin Merchant Museum in Taiyuan. While such art cannot alter the course of history, the contributions of bead arithmetic to advancing human civilization are indelible.
