The book *Pushkin's Fairy Tale Poems* was published by Yiwen Publishing House in 1979. During that era, the social atmosphere was very leftist and proletarian, so it was rare for children's book cover designs and illustrations to be as aesthetically pleasing as these were, without any hint of revolutionary class struggle, but instead resonating with the soul of the poetry.
For a long time, I thought the illustrations in the book were taken from an overseas edition, never expecting that the cover design and illustrations were actually created by the renowned Chinese painter and animation director Xu Jingda (art name: Ada). The animated films he directed, such as *The Arrogant General*, *Little Tadpoles Find Their Mother*, *Nezha Creates Havoc in the Sea*, *Three Monks*, and *Butterfly Spring*, are all works that I love very much.
